Lenovo brings Ivybridge to ThinkPad series
Lenovo is going to give their Thinkpad series laptops, some serious make over by integrating the latest Intel i-Core processors in it. They are planning the upgrade Thinkpad Edge S430, E430/530 and B series line up of laptops. The new generation Intel Core i-processors are given the code name Ivy Bridge. The series of laptops that are going to get the overhaul includes everything from normal budget laptops to premium high end laptops. Many of Lenovo’s flag ship models will also under go the transformation.
Thinkpad S430 is a very sleek and stylish lap top and is specially designed for the style conscious customers. There is no doubt that this laptop can definitely make a style statement. The lap top is extremely thin and has a thickness of just 8mm.
Its over all design is accentuated by a metallic finish and the laptop looks very attractive. The device also has a 14 inch display which does its job pretty well. For the customer who needs to take the laptop to the next level there are more than enough customization options.
The user can choose from different versions of Ivy Bridge processors, DVD burners, Graphics cards etc. One notable thing is that the Thunderbolt interface which was a distinguishing feature of Apples devices is going to be made available in this Lenovo model. When it hits the Indian market the laptop will be available with a price tag of about Rs. 40,000/-.
Thinkpad Edge E430 and E530 laptops differ in their display size. E430 has a 14 inch display where as E530 has a 15 inch display. They come with much customization option too. The user has the liberty to choose over Ivy Bridge processors and AMD fusion processors along with various options of graphics cards in integrated or discrete form.
They both come with a hard disk space of 1 TB which can be further expanded if needed, by the addition of a SSD. They come in a variety of colours and will be available with a starting price tag of about Rs.30,000/- in India.
Lenovo B series laptop comes under the budget laptop range. But still there construction and durability is very impressive. The users can choose between a 14 inch or 15 inch screen, a series of Intel 3rd generation Ivy bridge processors and AMD fusion arithmetic processing unit. B series laptop is expected to come out by April and will have a price tag of about Rs. 25,000/- in India.
