Fujifilm X-T3 Firmware Update Makes Gimbal Videography Easy
Cameras have come a long way, especially in smartphones. Yet, standalone cameras are still thriving in a niche market today. The new Fujifilm X-T3 is one of the cameras that is popular for its lightweight package and is believed to capture quality videos. Being lightweight, it can even be used with a gimbal. The mirrorless camera has got a new firmware update.
Fujifilm X-T3 Firmware Update
The new firmware update for the camera will make the gadget even more practical, the Japanese company announced. Fujifilm has been working with DJI, Shenzhen Gudsen, and Zhiyung that are popular for gimbals. The update is expected to give more control over the X-T3, which can be used along with the Ronin S, Crane 2, and other gimbal products.
"The upcoming update will enable controls for video recording from Gimbal / Drone via USB communications," Fujifilm said in a statement. "You can combine the X-T3 with a Gimbal / Drone that supports this function to significantly broaden your shooting options."
The Fujifilm X-T3 could be connected to gimbals using a USB-C cable to capture images. The new firmware update allows users to begin, shoot, and stop video recording with a key function. Fujifilm has also given users the focus control knob on the Crane 2, Ronin S/SC, and other gimbals to manually focus and control the electronic lens.
Firmware Update Enhances Gimbal Controls
Moreover, the Fujifilm X-T3 firmware update gives the users control over the exposure settings. For instance, settings like the shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation, ISO, and more can now be adjusted easily on the gimbal.
It's evident that most of the update is related to the gimbals. The company says that it can also be applied to some of the drones developed by DJI. The update also enhances the face-detection performance, autofocus, eye AF tracking from Fujifilm. The update will roll out in the middle of December, the company said.
