WWDC 2023: Apple announces new Mac Pro, Mac Studio with M2 Ultra SoC
Apple has officially announced a new Mac Studio and Mac Pro at WWDC 2023. The new Mac Studio will be equipped with the M2 Max and M2 Ultra chips, while the lates Mac Pro will use the recently announced M2 Ultra SoC.
Apple also announced the new 15-inch MacBook Air and the latest version of its operating system for its Macs, iPhones, and iPads at WWDC 2023. "The new Mac Studio and Mac Pro with Apple silicon are the two most powerful Macs we've ever made," said John Ternus, Apple's Senior VP of Hardware Engineering.

Apple Mac Studio, Mac Pro Pricing, Availability
The Mac Studio starts from $1,999 (roughly Rs 1,64,950) in the US. The new Mac Pro price starts from $6,999 (roughly Rs 5,77,550) for the Tower Enclosure and $7,499 (roughly Rs 6,18,800) for the Rack Enclosure. Apple also offers education discounts on both the Mac Pro and Mac Studio.
The new Mac Studio and Mac Pro are available from today on Apple's online store and in the Apple Store app. The two new Macs will start to arrive to customers and will be available in Apple Store locations and Apple Authorized Reseller from June 13.
Apple Mac Studio Specifications
With M2 Max and M2 Ultra, the new Mac Studio provides a big boost in performance versus the previous generation. The Mac Studio is up to 6x faster than the most powerful Intel-based 27-inch iMac, and up to 3x faster than the previous-generation Mac Studio with M1 Ultra.

It features a 24-core CPU, up to a 76-core GPU, and up to 192GB of memory with 800GB/s of unified memory bandwidth for workstation-grade performance. The Mac Studio now features higher-bandwidth HDMI, enabling up to 8K resolution and 240Hz frame rates.
The Mac Studio with the M2 Ultra now supports up to six Pro Display XDRs. It also comes with built-in wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Mac Studio includes four Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 10Gb Ethernet port, an enhanced HDMI port, two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, and an SD card slot.
Apple Mac Pro Specifications
With the M2 Ultra SoC, the new Mac Pro is up to 3x faster than the previous-generation Intel-based model. Mac Pro has Apple's most powerful 24-core CPU, an up to 76-core GPU, and starts with twice the memory and SSD storage. The new Mac Pro can also be configured with up to a massive 192GB of memory with 800GB/s of unified memory bandwidth.

Apple says, the new M2 Ultra Mac Pro enables "video engineers to ingest 24 4K camera feeds and encode them to ProRes in real time, all on a single machine, when using six video I/O cards." The Mac Pro features seven PCle expansion slots, with six open expansion slots that support Gen 4.
The new Mac Pro gets eight built-in Thunderbolt 4 ports, supports up to six Pro Display XDRs, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and features three USB-A ports. The two higher-bandwidth HDMI ports support up to 8K resolution and up to 240Hz frame rates. Additionally, macOS Sonoma will add even more features and tools to the Mac Pro and Mac Studio.
