Smartphones Launching in May 2026: Vivo X300 Ultra, OPPO Find X9 Ultra, OnePlus Nord CE 6 Series, and More

May is going to be a genuinely busy month. There are two ultra-premium flagship camera phones landing in the same week, a mid-ranger with a battery that'll outlast most people's charging habits, and Motorola bringing its flip phones back.

Here's everything confirmed or very likely for India in May 2026.

Smartphones Launching in May 2026

Vivo X300 Ultra and X300 FE (May 6)

Vivo's kicking things off on May 6 at noon IST with two phones.

Smartphones Launching in May 2026

The X300 Ultra is the one getting all the attention, and it's easy to see why. You're getting a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display at 144Hz, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, and a camera setup that's genuinely hard to summarise quickly.

The main shooter is a 200MP Sony LYT-901 sensor. The telephoto is also 200MP — a Samsung HPO sensor with 10x optical zoom. Then there's a 50MP Sony LYT-818 ultra-wide. All three are Zeiss-tuned, and Vivo's confirmed Horizon Level Stabilisation is back after fans asked for it.

The battery is 6,600mAh with 100W wired and 40W wireless charging, and IP68 plus IP69 ratings are on board. It'll sell on Amazon, Flipkart, and Vivo's own site, with pricing likely sitting between ₹1,60,000 and ₹1,70,000.

The X300 FE is the slimmer, lighter option at 7.99mm and 191g. It runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and steps down to a 50MP Sony IMX921 main camera, a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide. There's a 50MP Zeiss-tuned front camera too. Battery is 6,500mAh with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. Expected price: ₹65,000 to ₹75,000.

OnePlus Nord CE 6 and Nord CE 6 Lite (May 7)

OnePlus is launching both on May 7 at noon IST. The CE 6 goes on sale from May 8, and the Lite follows on May 12, both via Amazon, the OnePlus store, and offline retail.

The Nord CE 6 is probably the most interesting phone on this list for most people. It's got a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED at 144Hz with 1,800 nits peak brightness, a 50MP main camera with dual-axis OIS, a 32MP selfie camera, and an 8,000mAh battery with 80W charging.

There's also 27W reverse charging built in, which is unusual for this price point. The durability story is thorough too: IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings plus MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification. Dual stereo speakers are in.

It comes in Fresh Blue, Lunar Pearl, and Pitch Black, and it's expected to be priced between ₹20,000 and ₹25,000.

The Nord CE 6 Lite drops down to MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex, carries a 7,000mAh battery, and comes in Vivid Mint and Hyper Black.

Oppo Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s (May, Date TBD)

Oppo officially confirmed on April 22 that both phones are coming to India in May. The exact date and pricing are still to be announced.

Smartphones Launching in May 2026

The Find X9 Ultra is built around Oppo's Hasselblad Master Camera System, which runs on its own LUMO Image Engine. The big camera addition here is a 50MP 10x optical telephoto lens. It's running Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, on a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED at 144Hz. The battery is 7,050mAh with 100W fast charging. With this launch, India gets four Find X9 models — the X9, X9 Pro, X9s, and X9 Ultra. The Find X9s Pro is not launching in India.

The Find X9s is on a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chip, has an ultra-thin flat display with 1.15mm bezels, a 7,025mAh battery, and a 50MP triple-camera setup. It's the more practical day-to-day option in the lineup without going all the way to Ultra pricing.

HMD Vibe 2 5G (Confirmed May Launch)

HMD has confirmed the Vibe 2 5G is coming to India in May, with a dedicated microsite already live on Flipkart. The exact launch date hasn't been announced yet.

Design details are minimal at this point. The microsite teases a flat screen with a centred hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera — that's about all HMD has shown so far.

Since full specs aren't out yet, the predecessor gives you a rough idea of where this one sits. Last year's HMD Vibe 5G launched at ₹11,999 with a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD at 90Hz, a Unisoc T760 chipset, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage expandable via microSD, a 50MP main camera, 8MP front camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging. It shipped with Android 15 and came with two years of quarterly security updates.

The Vibe 2 5G is expected to sit in a similar budget bracket. If HMD keeps the pricing close to the predecessor, it's going to be competing directly with phones like the iQOO Z11 Lite in the sub-₹15,000 5G space.

Motorola Razr 70 and Razr 70 Ultra

Motorola announced both phones on April 29. Global sales start May 21, and India is likely to follow in late May or early June.

Smartphones Launching in May 2026

The Razr 70 Ultra runs the Snapdragon 8 Elite with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Inside, there's a 7-inch AMOLED at 165Hz that peaks at 3,000 nits. The cover display is a 4-inch pOLED with Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Camera setup is a dual 50MP system at the back with a 32MP front camera, a 5,000mAh battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless charging, and Android 16 out of the box. India pricing is expected around ₹1,09,999.

The standard Razr 70 is actually the bigger upgrade this generation. It moves to a MediaTek Dimensity 7450X chip, has a 6.9-inch inner AMOLED at 120Hz, a 3.6-inch cover screen, and bumps the ultra-wide from 13MP to 50MP. Battery is 4,800mAh. India pricing is expected around ₹66,000.

Xiaomi 17T

The Xiaomi 17T is expected to launch globally in May and could make its India debut around the same time. It's reportedly coming with a 6.59-inch 1.5K flat display, a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chip, a 6,500mAh battery with 67W charging, and a Leica-branded triple camera setup: 50MP main, 12MP ultra-wide, and 50MP telephoto. The front camera is expected to be 32MP.

Smartphones Launching in May 2026

Two storage variants are likely — 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB — priced at roughly ₹74,999 and ₹84,999 in India based on the European pricing.

Other Phones Expected in May

May could get even busier in the budget and mid-range segments.

The iQOO Z11 Lite is expected to target budget buyers with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, a massive 7,000mAh battery, and a 120Hz display. It's tipped to launch at around ₹11,499, which could make it one of the more aggressive entries in the segment if that pricing holds.

Realme is also expected to expand its lineup with the rumored P4R, alongside a possible new Narzo series phone. HMD could introduce the Crest 2 and Crest 2 Pro, while Infinix is reportedly preparing the GT 50 Pro, which is expected to focus on gaming.

Samsung may also join the list with the Galaxy A27, although details around the device are still pretty limited right now.
