Google Search To Get Biggest Update In Five Years
Google search engine will be getting the biggest update received in the past five years. And this time around, Google is paying attention to the small details. For instance, if you Google search 'how to park in a sloped road with no curbs', the search engine will consider the 'no' into account.

Google Search Update
The Google search answer to the above-mentioned question would probably show top results for parking instructions without curbs. Updating the search engine is nothing new for Google. However, according to Pandu Nayak, the VP of Google Search says the upcoming update is one of the massive ones over the past five years.
The Google search update is mainly centered on Google's natural language processing research. This is where Google studies how it trains computers to understand the common speech and nuances in the language. The upcoming Google search update is based on a training technique called BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representation from Transformers).
BERT involves is part of the machine learning technique, where computer systems are taught to understand the order and context in which the word is used/searched. The Google search update with BERT involves the 'fill-in-the-blanks' technique, where the machine needs to guess which word is missing in a sentence.

Google Search Update With Keywords
Keywords for Google search have always been important. The new Google search update, however, is taking into account every word in a sentence typed to show more relevant results. Nayak says that the BERT technique has brought better results over time and Google has been testing it for a while now. At the same time, Nayak admits that the technique isn't perfect yet. "We're playing a statistical game here," Nayak said. This could also mean that Google search might miss the mark for some results.
Over the past years, Google search has certainly improved. Yet, the updates have always been subtle, till now. Additionally, Google is also planning to roll out the option to change the search to the English language in the US this week. Google expects the search update will give better results for one user out of 10 searches.
