The Xiaomi 15 series is making its debut in China next week. The line-up will include the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, although the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is also expected to make a debut in the first half of 2025.
For now, we focus on the upcoming Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, which will use the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. The Xiaomi 15 series will be the first smartphone to use the upcoming Snapdragon chip.

To recall, the Chinese smartphone maker only unveiled the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra in India and globally, while the Xiaomi 14 Pro was limited to China. Xiaomi 15 Series Launch Timeline
The Xiaomi 15 series launch date in China is set for October 29 at 07:00 pm local time or 04:30 pm IST. Moreover, the Xiaomi 15 series is likely to make its way to India in the first half of 2025.
It is unclear whether both the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro will be made available but we're likely to see at least one of the two devices in the Indian market. Moreover, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, could also be unveiled in India simultaneously.

Xiaomi 15 Series Design, Build
The Xiaomi 15 features a 6.36-inch flat screen with 1.38mm ultra-narrow bezels, while the middle frame is made from aluminium. Moreover, the Xiaomi 15 is expected to feature glass protection on the front and back. On the other hand, Xiaomi revealed more details about the Xiaomi 15 Pro's design and build.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro will opt for a quad-curve display with Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0 protection. The phone will feature a ceramic lens "Deco" design and an aluminium frame. The Xiaomi 15 Pro weighs 213 grams and measures 8.35mm thick.
Xiaomi 15 Specifications (Expected)
The Xiaomi 15 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. It will come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The vanilla Xiaomi 15 model could also pack a large battery, just shy of 5,000 mAh (4800 - 4900 mAh), although some rumors suggest it will go as high as 5,500 mAh.
The battery will be accompanied by 90W wired fast charging support as well as 50W wireless charging support. Up front, the vanilla Xiaomi 15 is expected to sport a 6.36-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display. The screen will support an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is expected to support HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The Xiaomi 15 will also feature an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water.

The Xiaomi 15 is also expected to feature a trio of 50MP sensors on the back for the main, ultrawide, and telephoto lenses, while a 32MP selfie camera will sit up front. The main camera on the Xiaomi 15 is expected to use the OmniVision OV50H sensor, while the ultrawide and telephoto could opt for the Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor. Moreover, the rear camera setup will be co-developed with Leica and include several Leica-inspired portrait filters.
Xiaomi 15 Pro Specifications (Expected)
The Xiaomi 15 Pro will use the same Snapdragon chip as the vanilla model. Unlike the flat panel on the vanilla Xiaomi 15, the 'Pro' model will feature a 6.78-inch Quad Micro Curved LTPO AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. It will also get Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro is also expected to pack a larger 6,000 mAh battery with the same wired charging capabilities as the Xiaomi 15. However, wireless charging support is expected to be topped up at 80W. It will also feature the IP68 rating and 32MP selfie camera. The Xiaomi 15 Pro will also use the same software.

The camera setup on the Xiaomi 15 Pro is expected to be the same as the Xiaomi 15. However, the 'Pro' model could use a 50MP Light Fusion 900 series primary sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX858 periscope lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide unit. Moreover, the rear camera setup will be co-developed with Leica and include several Leica-inspired portrait filters.
Xiaomi 15 Series Expected Pricing
According to previous reports, the Xiaomi 15 price in China is expected to start from CNY 4,599 (roughly Rs 54,400), while the top-end model could cost as much as CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs 64,900).
On the other hand, the Xiaomi 15 Pro price in China is expected to start from CNY 5,299 (roughly Rs 62,700), while the top-end model could cost as much as CNY 6,499 (roughly Rs 76,700).
