iQOO 15 Confirmed to Launch in India in November With Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and OriginOS 6

iQOO is getting ready to introduce its next flagship smartphone in India, and it’s shaping up to be a serious powerhouse.

The company has confirmed that the iQOO 15 will debut in November, bringing Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 right out of the box.

iQOO 15 Confirmed to Launch in India This November

Pushing Performance With Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

The iQOO 15 isn’t holding back when it comes to hardware. It’s built around the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s newest flagship processor that’s also used in the Xiaomi 17 series and Realme GT 8 Pro.

To give gamers even more power, iQOO has added its Q3 gaming chip, which handles real-time frame interpolation and visual optimization. That means smoother gameplay and better stability during long sessions.

The phone is expected to feature a 6.85-inch 2K flat LTPO AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, giving it the speed and color accuracy competitive players will appreciate. It’ll also use LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring apps and files load instantly.

A Massive Battery and Balanced Design

Battery life has been a key strength for iQOO, and the 15 continues that trend. It packs a 7,000mAh cell — one of the biggest in its class — with 100W fast charging. That combination should let you go a full day of gaming or streaming without anxiety over battery levels.

The design will be a continuation of iQOO’s bold, performance-first identity, but with refinements to weight and grip. There are RGB lighting accents on the back and a premium metal-glass finish. Security and durability also get a bump, thanks to an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance.

Triple-Camera Setup

The iQOO 15 will carry a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 50MP front-facing camera.

OriginOS 6: The New Layer on Top of Android 16

The iQOO 15 will be among the first iQOO phones in India to run OriginOS 6, Vivo’s latest custom interface. This update is all about improving speed, smoothness, and everyday usability.

At the core of OriginOS 6 is the Origin Smooth Engine, which coordinates computing, storage, and display modules to maintain consistent performance over time — even after years of use. It also introduces a new Vivo Sans font, support for over 40 languages, and a refreshed visual design inspired by nature and motion.

There’s also a new interactive element called Origin Island, which sits at the top of the screen to show live updates like battery, calls, or navigation. The update brings smarter AI features too — DocMaster for handling files, AI Retouch for easy photo editing, and Smart Call Assistant for better voice interactions.

Vivo claims that app cold-start times are faster by over 18% and frame-rate stability is up by 10%, thanks to an updated 8+1 Ultra-Core Computing system. That should translate to a smoother everyday experience on the iQOO 15.

Expected Pricing and India Launch Timeline

The iQOO 15 is expected to launch in mid to late November in India, shortly after its Chinese release. Pricing could start at around ₹60,000, which would place it slightly above the iQOO 13.
