Nokia 8, Nokia 2 and Nokia 3310 3G variant to be unveiled today by HMD
What to expect from HMD Global today?
HMD Global will be hosting an event today in London to announce the next generation Nokia phones. The company has been teasing that they will reveal the "the next milestone for Nokia Phones" at the event today.
At the event today, HMD Global is believed to take the wraps off the Nokia 8 flagship smartphone with high-end specifications and features, entry-level Nokia 2 smartphone with basic specs and the 3G variant of the Nokia 3310 feature phone. Notably, the Nokia 2 was spotted recently on the FCC website revealing the design and few specs. The 3G variant of Nokia 3310 was also leaked tipping that its release could happen soon.
Nokia 8 believed to be the flagship smartphone to be launched by HMD is said to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and arrive with a dual lens rear camera setup at its rear with the Carl Zeiss branding. The dual lens camera is said to feature different shooting modes, suggests a recent leak of the camera interface. The Nokia 8 is likely to feature a 13MP front camera for selfies and there are claims that the selfie camera can shoot in 4K resolution.
When it comes to the Nokia 2, the smartphone is said to be the most entry-level offering to be launched by HMD Global. It is said that this smartphone will make use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor under its hood. The device is also likely to flaunt a 5-inch display with HD 720p resolution. A few days back, four variants of the Nokia 2 were spotted on FCC.
Besides these two smartphones, HMD Global is also expected to unveil the 3G variant of the Nokia 3310 feature phone at the event today. The drawback of the Nokia 3310 (2017) is that it supports only 2G networks. The device was recently confirmed by an Irish retailer on Twitter and also passed the FCC certification tipping its imminent launch.
