OnePlus 6 renders show new colors, notch and red alert slider
OnePlus 6 could be launched in blue, suggests new set of renders.
OnePlus 6 is expected to be unveiled earlier this year in three variants. As the announcement is likely to happen next month, the company has started teasing the upcoming flagship killer revealing the key features of the device. Recently, the company teased that the smartphone will arrive with support for gesture controls like the iPhone X and a new functionality with the alert slider. Now, a fresh set of renders of the smartphone have surfaced online giving us a look at the device.
The new OnePlus 6 renders were posted on Weibo and show the smartphone in three color variants - Black, White and Blue. At the front, the OnePlus 6's display appears to feature a notch at the top center housing the selfie camera, sensor, and earpiece. Lately, the OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei confirmed that the smartphone will have a display notch and explained the reason behind it along with its first official render. A few days back, it was also stated that the notch on the OnePlus 6 can be hidden if the users do not want it.
Apart from the notch, these new renders show the rounded corners of the display and a relatively thicker bottom bezel. There appears to be no branding at the front similar to the previous generation models from OnePlus.
The rear design of the OnePlus 6 appears to be more interesting with glass and curved sides. There are dual cameras stacked vertically in the middle along with LED and a fingerprint sensor with a new design underneath the camera arrangement. We can the OnePlus logo in red on all the three color variants. The alert slider is also red in color and has received a new functionality, which will enable adjusting the camera focus.
Recent reports have revealed the presence of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC along with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage space. Also, the smartphone is believed to be launched in three variants with 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB storage capacity. As per a recent report, which revealed the pricing of the device in India, the OnePlus 6 might be priced from Rs. 33,999 and go up to Rs. 48,999.
