Lava Agni Design

Lava is a popular Indian brand when it comes to smartphones and other gadgets. Generally, we go of Chinese brands when it comes to smartphones for their pricing, design, and features. The newly launched Lava Agni aims to take on other brands with its features. The smartphone features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The design includes a sleek body with a matte finish exterior, giving it an elegant look.

Lava Agni Hardware Performance

Under the hood, the Lava Agni draws power from the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage that is also expandable up to 256GB. The chipset is one of the key factors on the Lava Agni as it offers smooth performance, 5G support, and a lag-free experience. There are several smartphones with a similar chipset – including ones from Realme and others. This also means that the Lava Agni can handle your smartphone tasks without a glitch.

Lava Agni Camera Performance

The cameras on the Lava Agni include a quad-sensor setup at the rear with a 64MP primary shooter. The other sensors include a 5MP wide-angle lens, and a pair of 2MP depth and macro shooters. Camera features include an AI Mode, Super Night, and a Pro Mode. There’s also a 16MP selfie camera, housed in the punch-hole cutout on the display. The cameras on the Lava Agni seem pretty good, considering there are four sensors to click good pictures.

Lava Agni Price-To-Specs Ratio

The Lava Agni 5G price in India has been set at Rs. 19,999 for the sole 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model. For the asking price, the smartphone is up against other mid-range smartphones from Redmi, Xiaomi, Realme, Samsung, and all other brands. Yet, the phone has made a name for itself as the first Indian 5G phone, coming with 3 5G band support. This gives the Lava Agni a good price-to-specs ratio.

Lava Agni Important Features/Highlights

Apart from this, the Lava Agni also features a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33W charging. Other aspects include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, connectivity features, and so on. The smartphone has equipped versatile 5G bands, especially the n78 5G band, which is used for budget and mid-range devices. The smartphone runs Android 11 OS.

Lava Agni Verdict

The Lava Agni is an impressive smartphone coming from an Indian brand. One can see it has good features in all departments, including its chipset performance. If you’re looking for a made-in-India smartphone with 5G support, the Lava Agni makes a good choice for you. That said, remember to check out other options in the market as well.

How do we rate a Device?

Rating a smartphone is a tedious process and a lot of parameters have to be considered before judging the overall performance of the device such as display, camera, processor, RAM, storage, battery, and the pricing.

So, here are how these specs will affect the real-life usage of a device and why how we meticulously consider each of these points to rate a smartphone.

Camera

Cameras have evolved a lot over the last few years and multi-camera setup is a new norm. We consider various parameters like MP count, aperture size, pixel size, image stabilization to rate a camera system of a smartphone out of 5. Any device that scores more than 3.5 can take good photos and videos and if a phone scores over 4, then it will be one of the best camera smartphones in the market.

Battery

Though battery seems like an underrated feature and we look at the battery capacity, fast charging supporting technology, and even the wireless charging capability is also taken into consideration to rate smartphone's battery capability.

Display

The display is the face of a smartphone. And there are a lot of parameters like the panel technology (IPS LCD, OLED, TFT) and other parameters also taken into consideration like the resolution, pixel density, and refresh rate.

Value for Money

A smartphone could have great specs, but if it is not priced well then you might not get the best value-for-money. So, we compare a smartphone with the contemporaries to rate the value-for-money of a device out of 5.

Performance

This aspect is decided on various sub specifics, such as availability of microSD card slot, the amount of RAM the device offers, processor capability, and the network support. This parameter has more weightage when compared to other departments.
