Realme X3: Design

The Realme X3 and the Realme X3 SuperZoom almost look identical, except for the camera setup at the back.  Both smartphones have an all-glass body with a plastic frame and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. At the front, the Realme X3 has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen with a pill-shaped cutout. The display gets the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and it offers a 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio with minimal bezels across the screen. The smartphone will also support HD streaming on platforms like Prime Video and Netflix.

Realme X3: Hardware Performance

If you are looking for a non 5G Android smartphone that does not compromise on the performance, then the Realme X3 could be the device for you. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC, a speed binned flagship processor with an overclocked GPU. This is a high-performance and efficient processor that can handle all. Similarly, the smartphone offers at least 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, which is more than enough for most of the users. The device is using the latest DDR4x and UFS 3.0 standards, further ensuring the overall performance of the device. So, the Realme X3 can handle any game that you can throw at it.

Realme X3: Camera Performance

Just like most of the newly launched mid-range and high-end Realme smartphones -- the Realme X3 also has a 64MP primary camera with support for 4K video recording. Besides, there is a 12MP telephoto lens with a 20x hybrid zoom, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. The device also has a dual selfie camera setup with a 16MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, both supporting 1080p video recording. Overall, the camera performance on the Realme X3 is above average when compared to the similarly priced smartphones in India.

Realme X3: Price To Specs Ratio

The base variant of the Realme X3 sells for Rs. 24,999 and offers 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, whereas the high-end variant of the Realme X3 costs Rs. 25,999 and offers 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. If you are spending Rs. 24,999, then I would suggest you spend a thousand rupees more and get the 8GB RAM model. For the asking price, the Realme X3 is a lot of smartphones, especially when considering the gaming and the camera capabilities of the smartphone. So, the Realme X3 is one of the best value-for-money flagship smartphones launched in 2020, and having a 120Hz display is like icing on the cake.

Realme X3: Important Features/Highlights

The Realme X3 comes with a 4,200 mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging and the 5V/6A fast charger is included in the retail package. This can refill the battery quickly without overheating the device and does not degrade the battery health as well. The smartphone runs on the latest Android 10 OS with custom realmeUI skin on top. Overall, the Realme X3 does pack a great set of features, including the dual selfie camera that offers more perspective as well.

How do we rate a Device?

Rating a smartphone is a tedious process and a lot of parameters have to be considered before judging the overall performance of the device such as display, camera, processor, RAM, storage, battery, and the pricing.

So, here are how these specs will affect the real-life usage of a device and why how we meticulously consider each of these points to rate a smartphone.

Cameras have evolved a lot over the last few years and multi-camera setup is a new norm. We consider various parameters like MP count, aperture size, pixel size, image stabilization to rate a camera system of a smartphone out of 5. Any device that scores more than 3.5 can take good photos and videos and if a phone scores over 4, then it will be one of the best camera smartphones in the market.

Though battery seems like an underrated feature and we look at the battery capacity, fast charging supporting technology, and even the wireless charging capability is also taken into consideration to rate smartphone's battery capability.

The display is the face of a smartphone. And there are a lot of parameters like the panel technology (IPS LCD, OLED, TFT) and other parameters also taken into consideration like the resolution, pixel density, and refresh rate.

Value for Money

A smartphone could have great specs, but if it is not priced well then you might not get the best value-for-money. So, we compare a smartphone with the contemporaries to rate the value-for-money of a device out of 5.

This aspect is decided on various sub specifics, such as availability of microSD card slot, the amount of RAM the device offers, processor capability, and the network support. This parameter has more weightage when compared to other departments.
