How to Create and Access the Edit Link?

You have to follow a few simple steps for creating an edit link in Office Web Apps or Office 2013.
Step 1: First of all you should go to the "File" menu and then tap on the "Share" tab. There is an option named "Get a Sharing Link" in case of Office 2013 which allows users in creating links with the help of buttons.

Step 2: There is an option named "Share with Other People" in case of Office Web Apps and by tapping on that, you can access the "Get a link" option. Within that section, you can create links with the help of "View and edit" and "View only" options.

Step 3: After creating the link, users can set separate privilege levels for others to edit and share documents for which log in is mandatory. By using this option, users can limit the number of people who can edit the document and at the same time share it with many people at a time.

According to Microsoft, this move is mainly meant for students who are finding it difficult to sign in or sign up just for the sake of editing some files on an urgent basis.
