JioFiber Rs. 351, Rs. 199 Prepaid Broadband Plans Launched: Validity, Benefits And More

Of late, the broadband market in India witnessed a massive growth along with the other sectors such as DTH and telecom. It has become competitive with many players offering disruptive plans. The broadband game was taken to the next level with the launch of the JioFiber FTTH service from Reliance Jio.

Back in September this year, the company came up with a slew of JioFiber broadband plans starting from Rs. 699 per month. What's more interesting is that the company offers freebies for the subscribers of long-term plans. Now, in an attempt to add more subscribers, Jio has announced two new broadband plans to the JioFiber portfolio.

Well, the talk is about the Rs. 351 monthly plan and the Rs. 199 weekly plan. These are prepaid broadband plans and will be available along with the existing ones from the company ranging from Rs. 699 to Rs. 8,499. Let's take a look at these new JioFiber plans listed officially from below.

JioFiber Rs. 351 Monthly Broadband Plan

The new monthly broadband plan comes with benefits such as unlimited voice calling minutes and complimentary TV video calling as well. Also, there will be 50GB data per month at 10Mbps speed. Once the data limit is exhausted, users will be able to use data at a lower speed of 1Mbps.

Well, this plan is for those subscribers who do not want a lot of data and speed but just access to the internet. Notably, the company will not share any installation fee or one-time deposit from the subscribers for this plan. On the other hand, the other JioFiber subscribers have to pay an initial amount of Rs. 2,500 of which Rs. 1,500 is refundable and rest goes for the installation.

Like the other JioFiber broadband plans, this one is also available on a monthly basis and other options such as three months, six months, yearly and biennially. The cost of the plan will increase to Rs. 414.18 per month along with 18% GST and it will be valid for 30 days. Notably, this plan can be availed only along with an STV.

JioFiber Rs. 199 Weekly Voucher

The other offering from Reliance Jio is the Rs. 199 weekly top-up voucher. It provides unlimited data at 100Mbps speed for a period of seven days. Apart from this, there will be unlimited voice calling benefits similar to the Rs. 351 prepaid plan. And, the final pricing of this plan will be Rs. 234.82 including 18% GST.

What We Think

Given that Reliance Jio has come up with prepaid broadband plans that are focused on keeping users connected to the internet, it looks like the company is focusing on tier II and tier III cities. This way, it will be able to add more subscribers for its JioFiber broadband service.
