Realme C25s: Design

Realme has introduced the C25s as its latest budget smartphone in India. The device is launched with a geometric gradient design. The upper-left of the back panel accommodates a square-shaped camera setup. The Realme badging follows at the bottom left. The handset flaunts a traditional waterdrop notch display with slim side borders but a slightly thicker chin. The IPS LCD display measures 6.5-inches and has 720 x 1600 pixels HD+ resolution and TUV Rheinland certification. This is a standard panel found across budget Realme smartphones.  The big display size along with 720p HD resolution support will allow for a decent viewing experience.

Realme C25s: Hardware Performance

The Realme C25s is powered by the Helio G85 processor which is built on 12nm architecture. The octa-core processor features Mali G52 and is combined with 4GB RAM. Realme has used this processor on a bunch of its other budget offerings such as the Realme Narzo 30A and the Realme Narzo 20. The handset packs enough power for general tasks and also a smoother multitasking experience. The device is announced with a 64GB/ 128Gb storage option and also have external microSD card support.

Realme C25s: Price To Specs Ratio

The Realme C25s with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage can be purchased for Rs. 9,999 in India. For the high-end variant which offers 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration, you need to spend Rs. 1,000 extra. This model will be selling for Rs. 10,999 online in the country. The company has announced the device in two color options – Watery Blue and Watery Grey. The pricing of the device falls in line with the previous Realme C series smartphones. A sub Rs. 10,000 price bucket has always been the highlight of this budget lineup.

Realme C25s: Camera Performance

The Realme C25s has a basic triple-camera setup at the rear comprising a 13MP primary sensor. The remaining camera setup features a pair of 2MP sensors which are macro and a black and white sensor respectively. The camera module will deliver decent output with daylight imaging. For low light photography, the camera app will have a dedicated Super Nightscape mode. To capture selfies and for video calling, the Realme C25s will use the 8MP camera packed inside the waterdrop notch.

Realme C25s: Important/ Highlight Features

The Realme C25s has a dedicated microSD card slot that will support two SIM cards and a microSD card simultaneously. Other connectivity options include a 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The massive 6,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support is the biggest highlight of this budget smartphone.

Realme C25s: Verdict

Realme has been strengthening its budget portfolio right from the beginning of its innings in the smartphone industry. The Realme C series has been specifically designed for the consumers who look for a smartphone priced below Rs. 10,000. The Realme C25s has been launched as an upgraded version of the standard Realme C25. The major focus here is on the camera and battery department. Both these features on the Realme C25s are solid for a budget handset. A triple camera sensor with a dedicated macro and a black and white sensor would enhance the photography experience, while the humongous 6,000 mAh battery would save you from the hassle of carrying a charger along.

How do we rate a Device?

Rating a smartphone is a tedious process and a lot of parameters have to be considered before judging the overall performance of the device such as display, camera, processor, RAM, storage, battery, and the pricing.

So, here are how these specs will affect the real-life usage of a device and why how we meticulously consider each of these points to rate a smartphone.

Cameras have evolved a lot over the last few years and multi-camera setup is a new norm. We consider various parameters like MP count, aperture size, pixel size, image stabilization to rate a camera system of a smartphone out of 5. Any device that scores more than 3.5 can take good photos and videos and if a phone scores over 4, then it will be one of the best camera smartphones in the market.

Though battery seems like an underrated feature and we look at the battery capacity, fast charging supporting technology, and even the wireless charging capability is also taken into consideration to rate smartphone's battery capability.

The display is the face of a smartphone. And there are a lot of parameters like the panel technology (IPS LCD, OLED, TFT) and other parameters also taken into consideration like the resolution, pixel density, and refresh rate.

Value for Money

A smartphone could have great specs, but if it is not priced well then you might not get the best value-for-money. So, we compare a smartphone with the contemporaries to rate the value-for-money of a device out of 5.

This aspect is decided on various sub specifics, such as availability of microSD card slot, the amount of RAM the device offers, processor capability, and the network support. This parameter has more weightage when compared to other departments.
