Vivo has been expanding its 5G smartphone portfolio in India for a while and has launched several mid-range and flagship devices in this category. The latest offering by the company comes in the ‘V’ series dubbed Vivo V21. The device features a traditional waterdrop style notch display and has narrow bezels surrounding the panel. The panel here is AMOLED which measures 6.44-inches and offers 1080 x 2400 pixels FHD+ resolution. The display further comes with a 90Hz refresh rate making it suitable for gaming. The Vivo V21 5G’s comes with AG matte glass rear panel which has a reflective surface. The back panel accommodates the vertical camera module on the upper left. There are three sensors for imaging aligned in a triangular array. The Vivo branding is inscribed at the bottom left.

The Vivo V21 is packed with the Dimesity 800U processor under the hood. This mid-range 2.4GHz 5G processor gets Mali G57 support and is combined with an 8GB RAM configuration. The device also comes with the virtual RAM feature which will allow the device to use extended 3GB virtual RAM. This will allow for faster multitasking speeds. It will also be able to handle all tasks without any lags. The gaming experience will be decent on this mid-range 5G smartphone. While the device comes with a single RAM capacity, the storage option announced is dual. You will be able to select from 128GB and 256GB options. The device has a dedicated microSD card that will allow for additional space.

The Vivo V21 5G will be available for purchase starting at Rs. 29,990. You get the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option for this price. The device is also available with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration which will cost you Rs. 32,990. This means you need to spend Rs. 3.000 more for the top variant. The price difference between both variants is slightly on the higher side. Speaking of the color options, the device can be purchased in Arctic White, Dusk Blue, and Sunset Dazzle colors.
Vivo V21 5G: Camera Performance
Vivo has equipped its new mid-range 5G smartphone with a triple-lens camera setup at the rear. The Vivo V21 5G’s primary imaging setup comprises a 64MP main lens with an f/1.79 aperture and an 8MP wide-angle sensor. The camera module also has a 2MP macro sensor for close-up shots. The primary camera comes with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and has several shooting modes to enhance the imaging experience. The V21 5G has a massive 44MP sensor packed inside the waterdrop notch for selfies and video calling. The selfie snapper comes with an f/2.0 aperture and is powerful enough to capture some detailed self-portraits.

The smartphone also features an in-display fingerprint scanner for security. The final key highlight here is a 33W fast charging supported 4,000 mAh battery.

Vivo has been one of those Chinese smartphone brands that focus primarily on the mid-range and affordable segment. The company’s ‘V’ smartphone lineup has been consistently refreshed with new and feature-rich offerings. The selfie camera has been the key highlights of the ‘V’ series and the Vivo V21 wouldn’t be a disappointment for selfie lovers with its 44MP selfie snapper.
