Flickr Redesigns Web and Mobiles Apps To Take on Google
Yahoo on Thursday announced a big update to its photo sharing service Flickr, which includes a new way to upload photos and upgraded apps.
The update will basically enable users to easily upload images and includes a new Camera Roll that will enable users to sort through their photos by date taken or date uploaded.

All photos are uploaded privately by default, allowing users to share them later. Furthermore, the UI design change of Flickr will let users take advantage of the 1TB of free storage available to them.
"At Flickr, we've dreamed of creating a space where you can store and manage a lifetime's worth of memories - imagine having half a million photos in one place! We've redesigned Flickr and now you can easily and effectively upload, view, organize, edit and share your lifetime of photos and videos across desktop and mobile.

Today, we're introducing a number of exciting tools, as well as a complete refresh to our mobile apps, that will help you take advantage of the 1,000 GB of free space we gave you in 2013," said Tim A. Miller, Head of Engineering, Flickr on the company blog post.
This is the second major redesign of Flickr over the past three years. In the coming days, Flickr will also be releasing new apps for devices running both Android and iOS, according to local media reports.
