The global smartphone market has entered a regressive trend, which might be a good time for buyers as manufacturers are actively launching multiple devices with innovative features. The month of August too is gearing up to be one of the hottest for smartphone launches, especially in the mid-range category.
From the Nothing Phone (2) to Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and Fold5, and from the OnePlus Nord 3 series to the Moto Razr 40 series, it rained smartphones in multiple designs and form factors in July. Let's look at the smartphones that have launched and will launch in the month of August.

Smartphones Launched In August 2023
The first smartphone to launch in August 2023 was the Motorola G14. It is an excellent device for buyers who are looking for a decent budget-friendly smartphone.
The Motorola G14 was quickly eclipsed by Xiaomi as it launched the eagerly awaited Redmi 12 4G and Redmi 12 5G in the first week of August. These smartphones are priced very aggressively and feature a Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 6GB RAM, and much more.
Xiaomi also hinted at the arrival of the Redmi K60 Ultra and confirmed the smartphone packs a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset, which has managed to break AnTuTu records for the segment. Although announced in August, the Xiaomi Redmi K60 Ultra is expected to launch next month.
TECNO, a company that has been trying to work its way up in the smartphone world, launched the TECNO SPARK 10 Pro-Magic Magenta edition with an innovative, illuminating back panel made from eco-leather.
Carrying the new trend of illuminated back panels forward, TECNO also launched the Tecno POVA 5 series in India this month. Besides the noteworthy rear design and LED lights, these smartphones also feature a 120Hz display, MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, and a massive 6000mAh battery.
Vivo launched the Vivo V29 series in India. This smartphone is essentially a rebranded version of the Vivo V17 that launched in China last month.
The most innovative, feature-packed, and aggressively priced smartphone that launched earlier this month was the Infinix GT 10 Pro. With a mesmerizing back panel (inspired by Nothing Phone?), this smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chipset.
The Infinix GT 10 Pro features a triple camera on the back, headlined by a 108MP primary sensor. All this hardware and eye-catching smartphone from Infinix is available below the ₹20,000 mark.
Upcoming Smartphones Launches In August 2023
Samsung should launch the Samsung Galaxy F34 5G in the Indian market on August 7. The Samsung 5G phone features a super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. With a 50MP primary camera and a mammoth 6,000mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy F34 5G could be one of the most attractive smartphones to 2023 in India that could be priced very aggressively.
Realme is expected to launch its first flagship smartphone series in 2023. The Realme GT 5 is expected to include the entry-level GT 5 and the top-end GT 5 Pro.
The upcoming Realme GT 5 series smartphones are tipped to be packing the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, and a brilliant, immersive 6.74-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. They are rumored to be flaunting a 50 MP triple rear camera setup. Needless to say, the Realme GT5 Pro could be the most powerful smartphone to launch in August 2023.
OnePlus could introduce its first foldable smartphone, the OnePlus Open. The foldable Android device is tipped to be packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, a 2K AMOLED primary display, and the capable triple-camera arrangement of the OnePlus 11 5G.
