Earlier reports regarding the Samsung Galaxy S7 had revealed that the upcoming flagship from Samsung will come in two processor variants - Exynos 8890 and Snapdragon 820.
Today, a GeekBench listing of the Samsung Galaxy S7 powered by the Snapdragon 820 was spotted which further confirms the leaks.
Tipsters have already revealed that Samsung will be launching the Snapdragon 820 variants exclusively in China and US whereas the S7 in other markets will hone the Exynos 8890.
According to the latest leak by a Chinese tipster Samsung is indeed using a higher clocked Snapdragon 820 SoC inside the Galaxy S7. In fact Samsung has worked on the SoC to optimize it for better thermal management and lower power consumption.
Furthermore the Weibo post adds that the Samsung Galaxy S7 running this higher clocked Snapdragon 820 chip has already undergone a GeekBench test where is has summed up an impressive score of 2456 (in single-core test) and a 5423 (in multicore).
The tipsters claims however doesn't come backed with a GeekBench listing. But if the scores are believed to be true then there's no denying that Snapdragon 820 powered Galaxy S7 would indeed be powerhouse.
