Micromax Unite 2 Review: Camera and Video
The Unite 2 comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera with flash which can shoot 720p videos, and a 2-megapixel front camera. The sensor is not that bad a deal and captures indoor images decently. Although the overall layout for the same could have been so much better.
The camera basically comes with three modes: Panorama, Live Shot and Beauty Shot. The app also allows basic manual settings involving altering the white balance and others. Also, inside the setting menu, you will find more than 12 scene modes.
As far as outdoor photography is concerned, the handset's 5MP offering is quite the competent sensor. Color reporduction is quite good and details remain the way they should by.
However, you might run into a bit of issue with the camera's focusing capabilities. Also, low light photography isn't really a treat. But this is similar to what we had mentioned for the Moto E. If you want a good camera handset, this isn't thr smartphone for you.
The 2-megapixel front camera isn't that sensitive as well and most of the shots that come out have problems with exposure. Apart from that, video details also don't match up to our expectations.
Still we don't have much complaint since we weren't really expecting big things from the device's camera. And while that is now a reality, for us, it's okay.
